The Systems Administrator primarily uses multiple technologies like Microsoft and
VMWare, and focuses on the maintenance and administration (installation, configuration and support) of a network of approximately 200 users as well as servers, firewalls, etc.

What would you do? – The Specifics

• Performs network monitoring and analysis and performance tuning.
• Troubleshoots network performance issues and creates/maintains disaster recovery plans.
• Manages a network of about 200 servers and devices.
• Secures network by developing network access, monitoring, control and evaluation.
• Establishes network specifications, designing router administration and routing 
protocols.
• Plans and executes the selection, installation, and configuration and testing of 
equipment, network policies and procedures and establishes connections and firewalls.
• Develops and maintains all systems, applications, security, and network configurations.
• Sets up, configures, and supports external/internal networks as needed.
• Recommends upgrades, patches, and new applications and equipment.
• Preps, images and deploys new servers.
• Windows, Ubuntu, and Centos Linux basic configuration and maintenance.
• Other duties as assigned.
 

Are you the right fit? – The Suitable Talent

• Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent work experience.
• 2 to 4 years’ experience in the Systems Administration.
• VMWare 5.5 or higher knowledge (approximately 8 hosts).
• Hardware support and troubleshooting experience (Desktops, Printers, Servers, etc.).
• Expert understanding of Microsoft Technologies (Windows 7 and 10,  Windows Server,).
• Experience with configuration and maintenance of Firewalls, Switches, and Routers.
• Experience with active directory (creating users, groups), DNS, Group Policy, and IIS.
• Experience with monitoring applications like PRTG and Splunk.
• Experience with ServiceNow issue management, within ITIL.
• Strong verbal/written communication abilities; effective interpersonal skills; strong 
attention to detail.
• Excellent critical thinking skills; using logic and reasoning to identify strengths and 
weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems.
• Explains technical concepts to audiences that are not tech savvy.
