Job Description

This 25 hour per week, part-time position acts as the assistant to the Orchestra Production Manager to ensure orchestra production operations run smoothly.  Incumbent will be responsible for both orchestra related administrative and stage manager duties.

·       Assist in the assembly and disassembly of orchestra related productions.

·       Load and unload production trucks

·       Assemble production equipment on stage

·       Construct set pieces and musical equipment

·       Ensure proper storage, maintenance and inventory of orchestra equipment.

·       Assist with sound and light production before, during and after shows

·       Move furniture and miscellaneous equipment

·       Ensure proper safety standards are met at all times

·       Perform administrative work as directed by the Orchestra Production Manager including          but not limited to creating and distributing production sheets, placing orders with                      vendors, tracking and processing payments to vendors, booking crew, advancing                    shows as assigned by Orchestra Production Manager

·       Act as Stage Manager for assigned services (abiding by NSA labor policies).

·       Serve as leader for load-in, rehearsal, show and load-out of assigned orchestra                       services. 

·       Call show, coordinate with Front of House manager, Lighting Director, and Audio                      Engineer for assigned services.

·       Other duties as assigned by the Orchestra Production Manager

Qualifications

·       High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required

·       A minimum of one-year related experience with orchestras/large ensembles

·       Working knowledge of lighting, audio and video systems

·       Ability to effectively communicate and follow directions

·       Ability to work flexible hours

·       Must possess excellent customer service skills

·       Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds

·       Valid Driver License
