Valentine, the Nashville Symphony has established an international profile with its innovative programming and steadily expanding discography. Founded in 1946, the 83-member orchestra is today the largest performing arts nonprofit in the state of Tennessee. With 140 performances annually, the Symphony’s concert schedule encompasses a diverse mix of classical, pops, jazz and family programs, along with extensive community outreach efforts.

Job Description

The intern will provide support for the Director of IT at the Nashville Symphony. He/she will focus on reviewing, researching, writing, and editing security policies with PCI (Payment Card Industry) compliance in mind. The intern will also be devising a network architecture for a PCI environment. The InfoSec Intern will gain a thorough understanding of the informational systems and be able to apply his/her knowledge to the projects. The intern will also assist with other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

All interns must be students at accredited colleges and universities.

  • Some experience working in Information Security is preferred.
  • The internship must be a part of the student’s curriculum.
  • The internship must provide earned hours that are directly applied to the student’s degree.
  • Interns must work a minimum of 135 hours per semester.
  • Interns must be available to work some evenings and select weekends during the season.
  • Interns must be high-energy, detail-oriented, team players, and organized.
  • Internships do not provide compensation.
  • Internships do not guarantee full-time positions with the Symphony upon completion.
