Job Description
We're looking for a Test Automation Engineer to join our Agile engineering team at Nagarro. You’ll help build reliable, high-quality software by creating and improving automated tests and testing frameworks. Working closely with developers and requirements teams, you’ll drive testability, challenge acceptance criteria, and help catch issues early. Your day-to-day work will focus on Python, Behave, Playwright, API testing, and automated unit/integration testing in a modern engineering environment.
Design, implement, review, and execute automated test cases and test scenarios, with a strong focus on API and end-to-end testing.
Develop and maintain automated tests using Python, Behave, and Playwright, as well as improve the existing test automation framework.
Analyze failed test cases, identify root causes, and create defects when appropriate.
Create and maintain regression and smoke test suites, test data, test environments, and test clients.
Collaborate closely with developers and Software Requirement Leads to analyze testability, challenge acceptance criteria, and ensure effective test coverage.
Execute automated and manual integration tests and contribute to the continuous improvement of testing processes and CI/CD test pipelines.
Qualifications
3+ years of experience in software testing and test automation, preferably within an Agile environment.
Strong practical knowledge of Python and experience developing automated test cases.
Experience with BDD/TDD, ideally using Behave, and maintaining or improving test automation frameworks.
Hands-on experience with Playwright using Python for API and end-to-end testing.
Experience with API testing, with gRPC being highly desirable; REST API testing experience is also valuable.
Good analytical, communication, and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with developers, testers, and requirements teams.
