Job Description

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Total experience: 6+ years
  • Must have minimum 3 years of experience working in data-related or project roles (e.g. Data Management, Data Governance, CDO Office or BI & Analytics team). Prior experience working with HR data is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Must have knowledge of data quality tools, databases, data warehousing, and data analysis techniques. Intermediate to Advanced proficiency with SQL, Snowflake and data visualization (e.g. Tableau) is required.
  • Should have strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify data quality issues and develop effective solutions
  • Understanding of Data Governance industry best practice is useful (such as DAMAs DMBoK & CDMP, EDM Councils DCAM)
  • Should have hands-on experience using Data Governance tools such as Data Catalogs (e.g. Informatica Data Catalog) and Data Quality Tools
  • Solid understanding of HR constructs and domains, data technologies (e.g., Snowflake) and core transactional systems (e.g., Workday, iCIMS, eightfold.ai, Oracle, SAP) will be beneficial.
  • Passion and interest in solving business-oriented data challenges end-to-end, with demonstrated precision and attention-to-detail

RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Deliver on the vision and roadmap for our HR Data Governance Strategy
    • Work to develop and implement Data Quality processes to support more proactive resolution of issues
    • Evolve our current Data Quality implementation to make use of AI and emerging technologies (e.g. AI driven Data Quality issue detection) to stay efficient in our approach
    • Enable further engagement with Senior Leadership through regular reporting and dashboards, particularly on our priority Data Quality issues, driving the cultural change that puts good data first
    • Take ownership for priority requirements from a Data Quality or Data Domain perspective, working with the Data Governance Director to implement in a timely manner
    • Support metadata management (alignment on definitions, capturing data lineage, capturing data classification, maintaining/updating HR items in data catalogue)
    • Support Data Access controls implemented for Global Data Products
    • Work with the HR Data Governance team to continuously drive our HR Data Governance Strategy
    • Understand any data opportunities from our customers, users, and business leads on HR data, especially our BI&A, HR, and Finance stakeholders.
    • Support sustainable delivery of customer value on the agreed Data Governance roadmap 
    • Deliver on Data Governance priority areas (e.g. Data Quality) and deliver a cohesive action plan to ensure impactful value-add to end customers
    • Track and report on specific and measurable aligned KPIs and key results, developing metrics to measure maturity and Data Quality
    • Prioritise identified data opportunities clearly communicating with required stakeholders to ensure efficient delivery
    • Proactively identify and escalate risks and mitigation plans, along with key decisions, to relevant stakeholders
    • Identifying the main gaps and opportunities to pursue within HR data. Implementing controls to identify data issues before they cause an impact. Harmonising definitions and data flows across all functions and geographies and identifying global issues with critical data attributes/elements.
    • Supporting activities related to the HR Data Governance strategy, including: Metadata Management, Data Lineage, Master Data Management, Data Quality, Data Architecture, and informing Data Product development priorities
    • Developing analytics, frameworks and KPIs to drive a step-change in Data Quality Issue management, Data Security, Data Profiling and Data Governance maturity
    • Ensuring adherence to relevant data policies, standards, and guidelines, and maintaining relevant Data Governance artefacts across the data domain (for example, the Data Catalog, classification, and data quality standards of data elements)

    Qualifications

    Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
