Job Description

• Total experience: 9+ years.
• Strong experience in Virtualization, Platform Engineering, Infrastructure Automation, or Systems Engineering.
• Must-have expertise in Hyper-V, VMware ESXi, or KVM-based platforms (OpenStack, Proxmox, oVirt, libvirt).
• Strong experience designing and implementing hypervisor automation frameworks for provisioning and managing hosts and virtual machines at scale.
• Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using declarative and idempotent automation practices.
• Experience working with hypervisor-native APIs and automation tools such as vSphere API, PowerCLI, libvirt APIs, or equivalent.
• Strong experience managing large-scale virtualization environments (hundreds to thousands of hosts).
• Hands-on experience with bare-metal provisioning using PXE/iPXE, Kickstart, Autoinstall, or similar technologies.
• Strong knowledge of BMC automation using Redfish APIs, iLO, iDRAC, or equivalent server management technologies.
• Experience automating virtual networking, including vSwitches, Distributed Switches, Linux Bridge, Open vSwitch (OVS), VLANs, and VXLAN.
• Experience with storage automation involving Datastores, LVM, ZFS, Ceph, or similar storage platforms.
• Good understanding of Git-based Infrastructure as Code workflows, state management, modules, drift detection, and reconciliation.
• Experience automating VM lifecycle management, including provisioning, cloning, snapshots, migration, image management, and template-based deployments.
• Strong scripting/programming skills using Python, PowerShell, Bash, or Go for infrastructure automation.
• Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, architectural design, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Design, implement, and maintain scalable automation frameworks for provisioning and managing hypervisor hosts and virtual machines from bare-metal deployment through lifecycle management.
• Build and enhance Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions to automate hypervisor configuration, VM provisioning, networking, and storage management.
• Develop automation leveraging hypervisor-native APIs (vSphere, PowerCLI, libvirt, OpenStack, Proxmox, etc.) to manage infrastructure at scale.
• Automate bare-metal server provisioning using PXE/iPXE, Kickstart, Autoinstall, and BMC technologies such as Redfish, iLO, and iDRAC.
• Implement and manage virtual networking automation, including vSwitches, Distributed Switches, Linux Bridge, Open vSwitch (OVS), VLANs, and VXLAN.
• Automate storage provisioning and lifecycle management for Datastores, LVM, ZFS, Ceph, and related storage platforms.
• Design and implement Git-based Infrastructure as Code workflows, ensuring version control, drift detection, testing, and reconciliation before production changes.
• Manage virtual machine lifecycle operations, including template creation, cloning, snapshots, migration, image management, and resource optimization.
• Troubleshoot infrastructure, virtualization, networking, and automation issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement preventive improvements.
• Collaborate with platform engineering, infrastructure, networking, and operations teams to deliver highly available, secure, and scalable virtualization platforms.
• Contribute to architecture decisions, automation strategy, and platform modernization initiatives for enterprise virtualization environments.
• Drive continuous improvements in infrastructure automation, operational efficiency, platform reliability, and engineering best practices.
