Job Overview:
- 5-9 years of experience.
- This role is responsible for helping establish the foundational processes, controls, documentation, governance structure, inventory standards, and audit-ready practices necessary support a mature enterprise asset management program.
- The successful candidate will partner closely with IT, Supply Chain, Finance, Cybersecurity, and business stakeholders develop scalable asset management processes and ensure complete visibility, accountability, and compliance for technology assets across their lifecycle.
- This is a hands-on operational role requiring regular physical interaction with IT hardware, inventory locations, storage areas, and stakeholder groups.
- Due to the nature of the work, the position requires on-site presence in Lake Mary, Florida, 4-5 days per week.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- IT Asset Management Program Development.
- Support the design, development, implementation, and continuous improvement of MPWA's IT Asset Management (ITAM) Program.
- Assist in establishing IT Asset Management governance, policies, standards, procedures, controls, and reporting frameworks.
- Support the creation and documentation of end-to-end asset lifecycle processes covering procurement, receiving, deployment, assignment, inventory management, transfer, recovery, refresh, and disposal.
- Develop and maintain process documentation, workflows, control documentation, and operational standards.
- Identify process gaps, inefficiencies, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
- Support development of asset governance KPIs, reporting metrics, and program maturity initiatives.
- Assist IT leadership with recommendations to improve asset accountability, compliance, and operational efficiency. Asset Lifecycle & Inventory Management
- Maintain accurate hardware and software asset records within designated Asset Management and IT Service Management (ITSM) platforms.
- Support the complete hardware and software asset lifecycle from acquisition through retirement and disposal.
- Perform asset audits, inventory reconciliations, and physical asset verification activities. Monitor inventory levels and proactively identify inventory shortages, surpluses, and replacement requirements.
- Assist with asset receiving, deployment tracking, assignment updates, transfers, and disposition activities.
- Validate asset ownership records and ensure proper asset accountability is maintained.
- Support asset tagging initiatives and maintain asset identification standards.
- Assist with software asset tracking and software license compliance initiatives.
- Maintain accurate chain-of-custody records and documentation for company technology assets. Documentation & Knowledge Management
- Develop, maintain, and continuously improve: Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) Work Instructions Process Flows Training Materials Knowledge Articles Asset Management Policies Governance Documentation Audit Support Documentation
- Create process documentation supporting IT Asset Management program maturity.
- Maintain centralized repositories for asset management documentation and records.
- Ensure documentation is current, accurate, controlled, and aligned with business requirements.
- Assist in development of training content and support stakeholder adoption of new processes. Audit Readiness, Compliance & Governance
- Support establishment and maintenance of an audit-ready IT Asset Management Program.
- Maintain complete and accurate records support internal and external audits.
- Develop and organize audit evidence repositories and support documentation.
- Support compliance initiatives related to: IS27001 IT General Controls (ITGC) Software License Compliance Information Security Requirements Internal Governance Standards.
- Identify compliance gaps, process weaknesses, and risks.
- Assist with implementation of corrective actions and process improvements.
- Participate in audit preparation, data collection, remediation activities, and audit response efforts.
- Ensure asset records and processes comply with company policies and governance standards. Reporting & Data Analytics
- Define, analyze, validate, and report on business-relevant asset data.
- Monitor asset inventory accuracy and data quality metrics.
- Analyze trends, identify risks, and recommend opportunities for improvement.
- Develop recurring and ad hoc reports for management and stakeholders.
- Support development of dashboards and KPI reporting for Asset Management operations. Assist with inventory forecasting and lifecycle planning activities. Physical Asset Management Activities
- Perform physical inventory audits throughout corporate offices, storage rooms, and other assigned locations.
- Receive, inspect, label, tag, and track IT equipment.
- Organize and maintain IT inventory storage areas and stockrooms.
- Perform physical verification of asset assignments and inventory records.
- Support equipment deployment, replacement, recovery, and disposal activities.
- Assist with office moves, technology refreshes, and inventory transition projects.
- Coordinate asset recovery activities for employee terminations and equipment returns.
- Lift and move IT equipment, including laptops, monitors, docking stations, desktops, peripherals, and related technology assets as required. Stakeholder &
Vendor Collaboration:
- Partner closely with IT, Supply Chain, Finance, Cybersecurity, Human Resources, and business stakeholders.
- Support procurement processes related to hardware, software, and IT services.
- Assist with vendor communications regarding equipment purchases, warranties, asset recovery, and inventory activities.
- Effectively communicate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Accurately document and manage requests utilizing approved service management platforms.
- Contribute to collaborative and solutions-oriented work environment. Team Responsibilities
- Consistently partner with IT Asset Management team members tenure alignment with departmental objectives.
- Contribute building a positive team environment and support MPWA''''s ONETEAM culture.

Experience with:
- Fresh service Tanium Microsoft Intune SAP Ariba SAP Coupa Power BI Asset Management Systems
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Visio.
- Experience supporting audit or compliance initiatives.
- Familiarity with IT Asset Management (ITAM) best practices.
- Understanding of IS27001 and IT General Control (ITGC) frameworks.
Qualifications
Education & Experience:
- Bachelors’ Degree in Information Technology Information Systems Computer Science Cybersecurity Business Administration Supply Chain Management Related Field
- Minimum two (2) years of experience supporting IT Asset Management Inventory Management.
- IT Operations Procurement Documentation Management Compliance or Audit Activities.
- Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered.
Preferred Certifications:
- ITIL Foundation Certification
- Certified IT Asset Manager (CITAM)
- Certified Hardware Asset Management Professional (CHAMP)
- Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt
- Microsoft Power Platform Fundamentals (PL-900)
