Job Description
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, integrate, and debug electrical systems for industrial semiconductor equipment.
- Work with power, analog, and digital circuitry, including systems utilizing brushless servo motors, stepper motors, and DC motors.
- Design and implement analog circuits incorporating A/D and D/A converters, signal gain and filtering stages, sensor and encoder feedback, and power amplification.
- Develop and debug industrial control systems using motor controllers, I/O controllers, solenoids, switches, and sensors.
- Integrate systems using standard communication protocols such as Ethernet, EtherCAT, I²C, and USB.
- Create and maintain wiring diagrams and electrical interconnections aligned with existing system architectures; modify or develop new architectures to meet evolving design requirements.
- Design cabling and interconnection solutions between electronic modules, including connector selection and cable gauge definition.
- Collaborate effectively with external vendors and contractors on outsourced design and integration activities.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to resolve complex technical challenges.
- Develop technically sound and cost-effective electrical design solutions.
Qualifications
Required Skills and Experience
- Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in power, analog, and digital circuit design.
- Strong understanding of motor control systems, including servo, stepper, and DC motors.
- Proven experience in industrial control system design and system-level debugging.
- Demonstrated ability to work in a multidisciplinary engineering environment.
- Experience designing cost-effective, manufacturable solutions.
Tools and Technologies (Preferred)
- Altium Designer (schematic capture and PCB layout)
- Zuken E3 (cables)
- MS Visio (Wiring Diagrams)
- Teamcenter or any Product Data Management (PDM) system
