Job Description

The Director, Marketing Operations provides strategic oversight and execution of key marketing operations capabilities, with a primary focus on Speaker Program Operations. The Director will also support the marketing teams by managing key operations, such as the promotional material review process, inventory/fulfillment management and marketing communications. In addition to the marketing team, this leader will work crossfunctionally with other commercial leadership, the regional professional relations team, advocacy, and sales, among others, to ensure excellence in execution and operations. This role will have 1 direct report


PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

The Director, Marketing Operations duties will include:
• Driving speaker program operations for several HCP and patient speaker bureaus, with an emphasis on excellence in execution, speaker contracting, speaker training as well as reporting/program analytics
• Developing and executing enhancements to speaker program operations based on feedback from field and other stakeholders
• Managing speaker program budgets
• Strategic oversight, in partnership with Regulatory Chair, for Medical Regulatory Legal Review Process
• Management of direct report who is focused on day-to-day MLR management, promotional material inventory and fulfillment, and overall marketing budget management
• Providing additional support for marketing team as required, potentially including, but not limited to, trade shows/congresses, omnichannel marketing, marketing communications, and brand planning
• Analyzing existing data and information as well as historical trends in order to provide early insights into best practices and new trends that guarantee quality across marketing metrics and operations.

 

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a business related or technical field such as Marketing or Business Administration is required
• 7-10+ years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry, with relevant experience in speaker program operations, project management, marketing, sales operations, data analysis, and/or decision support
• Excellent organizational skills with keen attention to detail, the ability to take ownership of issues, work independently with confidence, and meet deadlines
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to maintain confidentiality, exercise judgment and discretion
• Ability to work well with all levels of employees and demonstrate strong teaming and partnering skills
• A collaborative partner with the ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
• Comfort working within the dynamics of a small, growing organization
