Job Description

Duties and Responsibilities:
The Investor Relations and Corporate Communications Manager is responsible for contributing to the strategic development and implementation of both internal and external communication initiatives that promote awareness and engagement among key stakeholders, including investors, patients, HCPs and employees, while ensuring alignment with Aurinia’s mission and values.
Primary responsibilities:
• Support in the development, implementation, and execution of a comprehensive communications program for internal and external audiences to communicate key messages on company strategy, drive employee engagement and support corporate and product brand awareness
• Coordinate the development of internal company communications to inform, educate and engage employees, including electronic newsletter, Intranet content development, company announcements, and other communications, as needed
• Own corporate and investor relations calendar to help facilitate news flow and social media content
• Assist in developing the social media strategy, executing across multiple social channels, and monitoring all channels
• Assist with drafting press releases and corresponding talking points/Q&A, PowerPoint presentations, corporate memos, and specific internal communications, based on the needs of the business
• Facilitate the review, approval and distribution of press releases, corporate collateral, social media postings, website copy and other communications, as needed
• Disseminate company press releases via appropriate platform, as needed
• Coordinate activities with outside communications agencies and vendors
• Work with Senior Director to coordinate periodic Townhall employee meetings
• Develop initiatives in conjunction with other departments to increase and enhance employee engagement activities that result in greater awareness of corporate priorities
• Review and analyze data to measure effectiveness, impact and engagement of communications programs and special initiatives

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal, interpersonal and written communications skills – purposefully creative storytelling
• Possesses clear ability to manage multiple projects at once while demonstrating strong composure and flexibility under tight deadlines
• Team player, ability to build strong relationships internally across functional areas and externally with vendors, suppliers, and other constituents
• Ability to work collaboratively with multiple stakeholders, prioritize deadlines and effectively work through challenges in a fast-paced environment
• Self-starter, highly motivated, and ability to work independently
• Commitment to company purpose and values
• Handle all matters with high level of discretion and confidentiality
Technical Skills Required:
• In depth knowledge of general business operations and excellent communications skills are required
• Knowledge of clinical vocabulary/biotech industry is preferred
• Advanced MS Office skills (Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, Excel
Minimum Education and Experience:
• BA or BS required, preferably with a degree or emphasis in Communications or related filed
• Minimum of 5-8 years of communications experience; agency experience is a plus
