Job Description

**Open to Remote or Rockville, MD

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
The Director, Sales Operations duties will include:

Field Technology
CRM & Field Tools Optimization

• Drive strategic commercial tool design and utilization plan (Veeva/Mainsail)
• Identify ongoing enhancements to key reports
• Business Planning process and template improvements

Targeting/Alignments/Affiliations/IC/
Data Driven Execution

• Develop & Implement IC & Recognition Programs
• Ensure accurate Target Lists
• Leverage industry best practices in a changing environment
• Evaluation of territory alignment and Sales Force structure

Field Enablement
Engagement & Planning Excellence

• Heavy field engagement to ensure execution through daily troubleshooting
• Identify trends
• Field Communications Strategy
• Foster strong relationships with Field Training, Data & Reporting, Marketing and Market Access leaders to align field execution against company strategies and tactics
• Functional vision and recommend improvements, driving investment in the function

Other duties
• Comply with all policies, rules, and regulations as set out and communicated by the company pursuant to good business practice.
• Will assist the VP Commercial Operations with building the Commercial Operations team further over time and will be a thought partner to developing services across Commercial.
• Willingness to take on additional/changing responsibilities as business needs evolve.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in Commercial Operations, Sales Operations and/or Commercial Analytics with direct leadership/supervisor experience within the Life Sciences industry required Experience in Rheumatology, Nephrology and/or Rare Disease indication is preferred
• Launch experience strongly preferred including building out commercial capabilities, executing to support a launch and evolving operations to continue to support brand growth beyond launch year
• Extensive experience with industry data sources and proficiency in advanced reporting tools
• Significant experience with CRM and field enablement tools
• Successful experience in fast-paced entrepreneurial environment
• Bachelor’s degree required, with an MBA preferred
• Expert skills in Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
• Analytically inclined problem solver
• Strong communication skills with the ability to effectively present ideas and influence others that achieve desired results

• Superior listening and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to possess a positive attitude and an understanding of the dynamics involved with organizational growth and change.
