Job Description

Overview

We are seeking a highly capable HR Operations Specialist to join Aurinia’s HR team. This is a team that is committed to the employees, culture, and vision of Aurinia Pharmaceuticals. We do it because We Care.

The HR Operations Specialist is responsible for completing a variety of tasks to support the daily operations of the HR team with a heavy focus on data analytics. The HR Operations Specialist must demonstrate a high-level of integrity, a strong depth of knowledge of human resources policies and practices, and a pro-active approach to internal and external business partnerships. They must be willing to roll up their sleeves in a dynamic ever-changing environment to complete a balance of tactical and strategic work in a start-up environment.

Primary Responsibilities
• Ensure the efficient recording and secure storage of HR metrics.
• Analyze HRIS performance metrics, document application issues and/or processes, and compiling data analysis reports.
• Perform statistical analysis on gathered HRIS data and run queries.
• Perform audits on HR processes and documents, including but not limiting to hiring, termination of service, when required.
• Maintain digital files for employees and their documents, benefits, and other HR related records.
• Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; review policies and practices to maintain compliance.
• Maintain knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in HR, talent management, and employment law.
• Assist with administering benefits, compensation, and employee performance systems and programs.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent education with a focus in HR or equivalent work experience.
• PHR, SPHR or SHRM-CP would be an asset.
• A minimum of 5+ years of HR experience, HRIS analyst experience is desired.
• Experience in documenting processes, as well as performing audits.
• Exceptional ability to gather and interpret data, i.e., HR performance metrics.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in HRM software, such as Ceridian Dayforce or Workday HCM.
• Adept at managing change.
• Experience with benefits administration is preferred.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
