We are currently developing voclosporin, an investigational drug, for the treatment of Lupus Nephritis (LN) and focal segmental glomerulosclerosis (FSGS). Additionally, we are advancing voclosporin ophthalmic solution (VOS), a topical formulation, for the treatment of dry eye syndrome (DES).

Job Description

Aurinia is seeking a Manager of Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) to join the growing Finance team. The Manager of FP&A will report to the VP of FP&A and will provide strong financial planning and business partnering support for Aurinia’s Corporate G&A and Supply Chain teams. This role will serve as the main finance point of contact to the functions within the G&A and Supply Chain organization and will support the teams in the following: developing and managing the annual budget, budget to actual monthly reporting, reviewing and supporting the rolling forecast process and the long-term planning process and providing day-to-day operational support and ad-hoc strategic analysis. This position will also support the VP of FP&A in the overall consolidation and presentation of the budget and forecast and will play a key role in the ground-up design and implementation of a new financial planning and reporting system. This position will also play a role in the implementation of a supply chain accounting system. The ideal candidate for this role will have experience in a fast-paced high growth environment as Aurinia approaches commercialization. The position will require a hands-on individual who can interface with all levels of the company in a collaborative manner.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Serve as the lead finance business partner to the G&A and Supply Chain teams and work with department heads to prepare the annual budget and quarterly rolling forecasts
  • Lead the monthly analysis for the G&A and Supply Chain groups of financial results versus budget and forecast and investigate significant variances, communicating findings to departments and management
  • Lead the overall consolidation and analysis of the annual budget and quarterly rolling forecast, including the preparation of the consolidated P&L and consolidated cash flow outlook
  • Assist in preparing full financial packages for the Audit Committee and BoD meetings on a quarterly basis
  • Provide daily operational support to the key internal stakeholders within Supply Chain, BD, Legal, IT, HR, Finance, Strategy and Corporate Communications
  • Work closely with HR on companywide headcount planning
  • Serve as a key team member supporting the VP of FP&A in designing and implementing a financial planning and reporting system and the design and implementation of a supply chain accounting system
  • Assist in developing value-added internal management reporting to support better decision making
  • Assess and anticipate department head needs and identify new opportunities
  • Review G&A contracts for financial terms and manage associated monthly contract accruals

Qualifications

  • Minimum BS in Accounting or Finance, CPA strongly preferred
  • Minimum 7-10 years of successive experience across various financial disciplines with at least 5 consecutive years of recent strong FP&A experience
  • Minimum of 5 years recent experience within the pharmaceutical industry is strongly preferred
  • Experience in rolling forecasts
  • Strong systems implementation experience and a demonstrated power-user in financial systems
