Senior Information System Security Engineer

The contractor must have proven experience (i.e. a minimum of five (5) years) with security engineering. At minimum, an in-depth knowledge and management of one or more Security Event and Incident Management (SIEM) tools required. Additionally, the Contractor shall possess hands-on experience in penetration testing and router/firewall management.

Functional Responsibility:

Define, review and enforce information security policy, standards and guidelines for business operations and technology implementations. Proactively speculate and identify IT security risks from technical and functional perspectives. Conduct technical security assessments, audits, penetration testing, and forensic IT functions. Configure and manage SIEM tools. Coordinate and lead security project implementations.

 

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications - To be considered for this position, you must minimally meet the knowledge, skills, and abilities listed below.

1. At least a 4-Year Bachelor’s Degree in a technical field such as Engineering or Information Technology or 8 years of experience in IT Engineering or IT security; and

2. At least one of the relevant Security and/or Architecture certifications from either International Information System Security Certification Consortium (ISC)2 or Information Systems Audit and Control Association (ISACA), or CompTIA Security+.
