Job Description
Looking for an opportunity to get you introduced in the Trades? Something that will have you working along side electricians, mechanics, plumbers, and HVAC technicians alike? Like to learn and a challenge? Then our Laborer position is just what you need! Through this opportunity you'll be providing support in two facilities in the Kansas City Missouri area. You'll be assisting other technicians, electricians, and mechanics in the performance of their work duties while acquiring the skills & knowledge, and completing the training, required to obtain licenses (professional development & promotions would be within reach). Candidate should have at least two year's of related experience or education, as well as technical aptitude for the trades. Must be able to pass background check.
Major Duties: (may perform many or all of the following duties)
- Inspect HVAC, electrical, plumbing or energy management systems under the direction and supervision of an HVAC Mechanic or the Chief.
- Assist mechanics, workers, or technicians in the performance of installing or repairing HVAC, electrical, plumbing or energy management systems.
- Perform simple installations, diagnoses or repairs of HVAC, electrical, plumbing or energy management systems under the direction of a Mechanic or Technician.
- Run wiring, cabling, and ductwork, and mount equipment according to specifications and schematics provided by engineering work orders.
- Place or remove equipment and building products and apply coatings to walls and ceilings as directed by a Journeyman.
- Perform minor touch-up painting chores consistent with preventive maintenance functions and minor repair
- Operate a forklift or man lift, as needed
- Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
- High School Diploma
- Ability to read blueprints
- Reliable transportation
- Able to lift up to sixty (60) pounds
- Capable of climbing ladders up to a height of thirty (30) feet
- Pre-existing HSPD-12 highly desirable
