Crypto analysts collect information, perform research, and analyze digital assets & protocols. The research is then presented to management, portfolio or digital investment managers, often as part of a team in which experts in different fields get to weigh their insights against one another before final recommendations and investment decisions are made. Collaboration is a key part of the job, as are giving presentations and sharing information amongst peers.

A Crypto analyst continuously collects and interprets data, such on-chain data, price developments, protocol adjustments and improvements, and yield fluctuations on digital asset’s yield generating sources. The information gathering also can includes macro developments that might affect digital assets developments, such as following a country's political changes, regulation change, and emerging industries and service sectors with blockchain technology.
