Job Description
As our Senior Services Technician you will be responsible for the effective implementation of day-to-day operations across our NSW facilities, this will also include the management of third-party contractor’s obligations. You will ensure the execution of best practice to maintain Uptime Operational Sustainability Gold standards for all NEXTDC critical centres.
Your key responsibilities will cover:
- Assisting Services Managers in overseeing the operation and maintenance of critical infrastructure supporting the facility and our brand promises
- Assisting Services Manager in training and the development of new facility staff members
- Participation in the on-call roster
- Assist in preparation for regular audits
- Ensure that facility issues/problems are identified and resolved in a timely manner via Service now
- Perform regular testing of relevant core equipment and documentation of those results and procedures (planned Maintenance) in cooperation with Services Managers
Qualifications
- Good knowledge of all aspects of data centres including electrical and mechanical configurations, rack management, design and installation
- Understanding of high-density data centre power, cooling approaches and technologies
- Good knowledge of cabling & cable management and quality inspection / assurance
- Knowledge of various codes and regulations applicable
- Experience with building management and monitoring systems
- Exceptional planning, organising and analytical skills
