We are currently opening a position for a Data Centre Technician to work with our Sydney facilities team.
This role will see you supporting the Facility Management Team with the day-to-day operations of the data centre by providing high quality & efficient technical maintenance and customer service.
Your Responsibilities will include:
- Maintaining in-depth knowledge of the Facility Rules and ensure adherence at all times
- Assisting with customer equipment and installations
- Delivery of cabling needs, electrical and data, to customer racks and areas
- Attending to Remote Hands Request ensuring they are delivered within the SLA
- Assisting with the maintenance of all core electrical and mechanical systems
- Assist in the production of various operational and customer reports
- Ensuring that facility problems are identified and resolved in a timely manner
Qualifications
- Hands on experience with fibre optic cabling
- Excellent customer service, communication skills and most importantly, a can do attitude
- Good knowledge of critical infrastructure in a data centre
- Good planning, organising and analytical skills
- TAFE Cert in Telecommunications
- Candidates MUST be Australian Citizens because of security clearances required
