Job Description

As our Project Finance Officer, you will support the project delivery teams at NEXTDC by performing day to day tasks relating to financial aspects of project administration.

Your day to day tasks will include:

  • Being responsible for financial administration of projects including purchase requisitions/purchase order and contract administration, reconciling and reporting actuals, forecast, and variances against budgets
  • Providing project procurement and invoicing support, including raising purchase orders against appropriate cost codes, project set up, assist with invoice allocation and approval, and detailed review of contractor progress claims
  • Ensuring rigid administrative controls are adhered to in the creation and amendments of purchase orders and/or commitments
  • Performing monthly reconciliation of project work in progress (WIP), and financial close processes upon completion of project; liaise with financial reporting team in relation to status of projects
  • Assisting project delivery teams with the preparation of monthly project cash flows
  • Data entry of relevant project information during the project life cycle

Qualifications

  • Accounting or Finance related tertiary qualification (diploma or degree)
  • Experience with capital expenditure procurement or payment processes
  • Relevant experience working in a similar role or in organisations with extensive infrastructure projects

  • Strong attention to details
  • Positive attitude, with personal drive and performance focus
  • Excellent abilities in MS Excel
  • Ability and willingness to work to strict deadlines and manage various demands
  • Professional fluency in English and Bahasa Malaysia
