As our Lead Architect and Design Manager you will provide architecture and design leadership and management, across all disciplines for all global projects. You will work closely with the NEXTDC Executives and all key stakeholders and their teams to deliver new and expand on existing projects.

This will also entail providing architectural and design leadership throughout projects for business cases, feasibility, site appraisal, due diligence, scoping, options analysis, planning/development approvals, concept/spatial co-ordination/technical/tender/design, for-construction/shop drawing reviews, site inspection and defect reports, commissioning through to project lifetime and application of lessons learned to continuously improve NEXTDC’s offering.

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Differentiate NEXTDC’s data centre brand, through leading architectural design
• Achieving council and government Planning Approvals for new developments
• Setting a new standard for co-location data centre customer experience
• Proven design processes, stakeholder engagement and outcomes.
• Creation of outline specifications for national/global implementations
• Experience with feasibility, due diligence, site appraisals and project briefing.
• Capital cost estimates, TCO, ROI, business case input and analysis.
• Risk assessment, mitigation, and management.
• Ability to produce technical / tender detail designs.
• Site inspections/defect reports/on-site commissioning and troubleshooting.
• Change Advisory Board submissions.

• Knowledge of relevant industry standards and strong experience of data centre design desirable.
