Job Description

NEXTDC are developing an innovative solution for mission critical teams with the Mission Critical Operations building providing highly resilient, secure and connected space for our customers to operation their mission critical functions.

This is a newly created opportunity for a seasoned business development professional to join our Products team focused on uncovering, developing, nurturing and closing sales opportunities for NEXTDC’s Mission Critical Operations (MCX).

As the Business Development Manager for MCX, you will acquire a deep understanding of our customers mission critical operational requirements including Disaster Recovery, Business Continuity and how they could be served by a MCX space.

You will use your deep real estate and technical expertise to guide our internal teams and customers through the practical application of MCX deployments relative to their unique requirements.

In addition to increasing NEXTDC’s MCX sales you will be the internal subject matter expert – developing processes and procedures, creating support material and working in partnership with the marketing team to support the development of NEXTDC’s value offering in this space.

You will be able to build and leverage relationships with commercial property partners as well as work cross-functionally supporting our Sales, Product, Marketing and Customer Delivery functions.

This role can be based in either Sydney, Melbourne or Perth with some travel expected.   

Qualifications

  • Significant business development experience with a proven record of driving results and overachievement
  • Solid experience in the commercial property industry
  • Demonstrated ability to apply business acumen and analytical capabilities
  • Deep understanding of customer commercial property decision process in addition to how commercial property is used to satisfy the needs of mission critical operational teams (ie. Network Operations, Remote Mining Operations, Secure Monitoring etc)
  • Ability to influence, negotiate and build processes to support and promote the MCX product roadmap and goals
  • Collaborative, driven and a team player – you can break down silos and bring agile teams together
  • Understanding of Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery principals would be beneficial
