Job Description

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Enterprise Account Manager (Public Sector)  to join our Enterprise and Government team to lead and develop the vertical, both at the Federal and State levels.

We are looking for someone who has strong experience and ties to the Australian Government community, deep understanding of the buying cycles, the intra-Government relationships and has a strong network of clients, partners and mentors, to ensure NEXTDC is well positioned to win deals now, and in the future.

Experience in business development, government sales and sales management is essential.

This role can be based in either Canberra or Sydney with regular travel to Canberra expected.

Qualifications

  • Understanding of the Public Sector, selling through partners or directly, with extensive experience, relationships and focus on the public sector in Australia
  • Deep understanding of the Government procurement process at the federal and state level
  • Experience with IT infrastructure / DC / Digital with a demonstrated track record in exceeding goals
  • Drive and passion to ensure that NEXTDC is forefront in prospective customers’ minds
  • Experience working with and presenting to C-level executives
  • Experience with large complex commercial and legal negotiations working with procurement, legal, and business teams
  • Ability to work with engineers and customer technical leads
