Job Description

This brand-new position within NEXTDC will be responsible for the accurate preparation and processing of our company payroll alongside the payroll manager. While you will have the support of the Payroll Manager, we are looking for someone who is happy to work autonomously when needed and has the relevant experience to jump right into our busy payroll department. 

 

Part of the role will include helping employees with their payroll queries, so someone who shares our #Customer First and #Oneteam values is essential. 

 

Key responsibilities will include: 

  • Updating and maintaining payroll records and payroll systems 

  • End to end processing of fortnightly and monthly payroll for 250+ employees…and growing 

  • Payroll reporting to meet statutory and business requirements 

  • Processing of salary changes and ad-hoc payments, including termination payments 

  • Reconciliation of payroll and superannuation payments 

 

This is a part-time position of 30 hours per week over 4 or 5 days, with the opportunity to be part of a great team, delivering great service to our rapidly expanding company. 

Salary 70K plus super - pro rata.  

Qualifications

 

  • Experience in payroll  

  • Experience with Preceda preferred, but not essential  

  • Solid knowledge of payroll legislation and processes including superannuation, payroll tax and salary sacrificing  

  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office, in particular Microsoft Excel 

  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail  

  • Excellent communication skills
