Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Storage Specialist to join our team. This role is crucial in ensuring that our storage operations meet the requirements of the contract. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in storage and supply operations and a commitment to excellence. This position related to potential openings in California including Barstow, San Diego and San Juaquin.
Job Responsibilities:
- The storage specialist will collaborate with the Government Storage Specialist to maintain systemic storage bin locations in WMS by verifying that they accurately match the dimensions and characteristics of the physical storage location, follow the approved naming schema, are properly labeled and marked, and are accurately represented on the associated planography drawing with the Government Storage Analyst.
- The specialist will ensure requirements identified in Section 5.3.2 of the PWS are being adhered to while also identifying occupied locations in WMS that fall below 50% density (measured as volume in WMS) and direct re-warehousing that reduces multiple locations for the same materiel, increases overall density for the distribution center, improves pick time for faster moving materiel, and results in additional vacant locations for new inductions.
Qualifications
- Must have a minimum of 3 years of experience in warehouse operations similar to the size and complexity to the operations offered in this contract.
- Must have a minimum of 2 years of experience using automated warehouse management systems within the past 5 years.
- Must be a US Citizen
- Must be eligible to obtain a Secret Clearance.
- + Candidate already possess a Secret Clearance
Additional Information
Position is Full Time Positions (40 hrs per week).
