This is an external facing role leading, designing and delivering IT education and training services to customers, enabling them to gain maximum understanding and proficient use of NEC Digital software products. This role is home based – with approximately 50% client site-based work.

As a Trainer, your main responsibilities will include but are not limited to;

  • Working with the Head of Learning Design to lead on customer facing digital training
  • Delivering training programmes to clients both in a classroom environment and online through Webinars, in group and one-to-one basis
  • Conducting training needs analysis
  • Designing course materials and other documents such as handouts, manuals and exercises to suit a wide audience with differing learning styles ranging from end users to system administrators
  • Developing train-the-trainer packages
  • Preparing the learning environment and resources, including setting up IT equipment and ensuring an entirely accessible environment.
  • Organising and marketing courses to meet the needs of learners and demands of business
  • Supporting projects with any training consultancy required to define training strategies for our customers supporting and coaching learners
  • Evaluating the effectiveness of the training and course outcomes
  • Acting on evaluation outcomes
  • Keeping up to date with relevant systems, software, training methodologies and online training technology
  • Dealing with administrative records and organisation of training delivery

Qualifications

Software:

  • Must be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc)
  • Knowledge of a wide variety of online meeting technologies (Google Meets, Microsoft Teams etc)
  • Knowledge of Madcap Flare or equivalent documentation tools

Essential - experience of:

  • Developing training strategies to meet the needs of customers
  • Delivering training on software packages
  • Design and construction of training packages
  • Knowledge of training methodologies and learning styles
  • Conducting training needs analysis

Desirable:

  • Knowledge of the Justice sector
  • Experience of using creative learning tools and approaches
  • Experience of gathering feedback from users to feed into product design
  • Experience of developing engaging e-learning content and media
  • Any LPI or other professional training body recognised qualification
  • Using Madcap Flare or equivalent documentation tools
  • User Centred Design approaches

Personal skills:

  • Advanced interpersonal skills that enable you to work with people at all levels, motivate others and change people's attitudes when necessary
  • Advanced written, spoken and presentation communication skills that allow you to inform and advise others clearly
  • Confident in taking initiative and offer new ideas

  • Must be able to travel and stay away from home for a number of nights whilst at customer sites

Other information

Candidates must be able to demonstrate a pre-existing right to work and travel within
the UK. Documentary evidence will be required.
