Job Description
As a COBOL Developer, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and enhancing our clients' critical COBOL applications. Your skills will be essential in ensuring the smooth operation of these systems while also exploring opportunities for modernization and optimisation.
You will design, code, test, and document COBOL programs and scripts, adhering to coding standards and best practices. You will troubleshoot and resolve technical issues and participate in code reviews and knowledge sharing. You will collaborate with team members to deliver projects on time and within budget.

Qualifications
- Core COBOL: Strong proficiency in COBOL programming, including syntax, data structures, and file handling
- Mainframe Technologies: Extensive experience with mainframe environments (z/OS), JCL, VSAM, CICS, and PL/I
- Database Management: Solid understanding of database concepts, SQL, IDMS, and IBM Db2
- Scripting: Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., REXX, Python)
- Problem-solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Communication: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Teamwork: Ability to work effectively both independently and in collaborative teams
- Client-facing: Strong client-facing skills and ability to build rappor
