This role serves as a Technical Pre-sales Solutions Consultant specialising in infrastructure solutions including servers, storage, backup, and cloud technologies. The position acts as a critical bridge between sales and delivery, responsible for translating customer business requirements into complete, cost-effective technical solutions that drive successful outcomes.

Major Responsibilities

• Provide expert technical pre-sales support for opportunities involving servers, storage, backup and cloud solution.
• Early engagement with customers in selling servers, storage, backup and cloud solution.
• Understand and gather customer requirements and offer complete & cost-effective solution.
• Prepare solution writeup, provide bill of materials, Statement of Compliance and engage Service Delivery team for professional effort.
• Ensure the completeness of technical terms and conditions.
• Conduct/Lead in technical presentation and clarification.
• Identify project risk (technical & execution) and provide mitigation measures.
• Integrate servers, storage, backup and cloud centric solution with support from other competency presales solutions consultant.
• Upon contract award; conduct transition/ handover and briefing to project implementation team on the overall solution and design.
• Keep abreast of product technology and certifications.
• Keep updated of the latest technology and develop technical capability slides.
• Attain selected product/technology certifications to maintain our premium partnership status with product principals
• Conduct in-house technology sharing to fellow peers.

• At least 5-yrs Systems, Storage and cloud experiences in Pure Storage, HPE, IBM, Dell, Hitachi Vantara, NetApp, Cisco UCS, AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform.
• Hand-on experience with various OS (Microsoft Windows, Redhat Linux, Ubuntu Linux, Solaris, etc.) and virtualised platforms (VMware, Microsoft Hyper-V, KVM, Nutanix AHV, AIX LPAR, Solaris LDOM and Containers)
• Good knowledge of backup and archival solution such as Cohesity DataProtect, Veritas NetBackup, Veeam, Rubrik, Commvault, Dell Networker/Avamar/PowerProtect, Dell Data Domain, Acronis, Arcserve, etc.
• Good knowledge in virtualization, containers and cloud (IaaS) technology
• Customer service oriented, good team player, technically inclined
• Must be effective in working both independently and in a team setting

• Product and technology certifications such as,
  • Azure Administrator Associate
  • Azure Solutions Architect Expert
  • Server (Dell, HPE, IBM, Cisco UCS)
  • Storage (Dell, Hitachi Vantara, HPE, Pure Storage)
  • Backup (Cohesity DataProtect, Cohesity NetBackup, Veeam, Rubrik, Commvault, Dell Networker/Avamar/PowerProtect, Dell Data Domain, Acronis)
  • AWS Solution Architect Associate, Microsoft Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Google Cloud Certified Professional Cloud Architect
• VMware certification
• Working knowledge of Active Directory
• Working knowledge of MSSQL, Oracle DB, MySQL, etc.
• Familiar with different product licensing schemes
