Job Description
We're looking for an analytical and detail-oriented Senior System Engineer to join our dynamic team in Singapore. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining comprehensive system infrastructure that supports our enterprise operations. The ideal candidate will demonstrate exceptional organizational skills, innovative thinking, and a commitment to system reliability and performance. You will work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to ensure our infrastructure meets current and future organizational needs while maintaining the highest standards of security and efficiency.
- Design, deploy, and manage enterprise system infrastructure across multiple environments, including on-premises, hybrid cloud, and cloud-native deployments
- Administer and maintain Windows Server environments, Active Directory, Group Policy, and related infrastructure services
- Manage virtualization platforms (VMware/Hyper-V) and optimize virtual machine performance and resource allocation
- Monitor system performance, analyze metrics, and implement optimization strategies to ensure peak operational efficiency
- Develop and maintain comprehensive backup and disaster recovery solutions to ensure business continuity and resilience
- Implement and manage patch management processes, security updates, and system hardening procedures in compliance with organizational policies
- Create and maintain PowerShell scripts, Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools, and automation solutions to streamline routine administrative tasks
- Troubleshoot complex system issues and provide technical support to resolve infrastructure problems with decisiveness and transparency
- Collaborate with IT teams, security personnel, and stakeholders to ensure compliance with security policies, industry standards, and best practices
- Participate in capacity planning, infrastructure upgrades, and technology assessments to support organizational growth and innovation
- Document system configurations, procedures, architectural decisions, and best practices for knowledge management and team reference
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior team members, fostering a collaborative and supportive environment
- Manage vendor relationships and evaluate emerging technologies to enhance system capabilities and efficiency
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- 8+ years of hands-on experience in system administration and infrastructure management
- Strong expertise with Windows Server 2016/2019/2022 and Active Directory environments
- Proficiency in virtualization technologies (VMware vSphere or Hyper-V)
- Solid knowledge of DNS, DHCP, IIS, and file/print services
- Experience designing and implementing backup and disaster recovery solutions
- Proficiency in PowerShell scripting and automation
- Knowledge of patch management and monitoring tools (SCCM, WSUS, or equivalent)
- Understanding of cybersecurity best practices, system hardening, and compliance requirements
- Experience in high-availability and disaster recovery environments
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex infrastructure issues
- Excellent organizational and documentation skills
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in team environments
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with cloud infrastructure platforms (Microsoft Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud Platform)
- Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools and practices
- Knowledge of monitoring and logging solutions (ELK Stack, Splunk, Prometheus, or similar)
- Experience with IT Service Management (ITIL) frameworks
- Vendor management and technical leadership experience
- Cross-platform system administration experience (Linux/Unix)
- Network infrastructure and security knowledge
- Relevant certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Windows Server Hybrid Administrator Associate, VMware Certified Associate, or equivalent
- Experience with incident management and change management processes
