Job Description

NCBA CLUSA is currently seeking a qualified candidate for the position of Cooperative/Organizational Development Specialist Volunteer to support Asociación de Mujeres Intibucanas Renovadas (AMIR), based in La Esperanza, Honduras. The Cooperative/Organizational Development Specialist Volunteer provides a baseline assessment of current organizational structure; nonprofit and business entities, to ensure sustainability.   In addition, the volunteer will focus on assisting the host organization in establishing internal procedures; defining roles for personnel and members of both entities, balancing financial roles and responsibilities, and social impact.  Additionally, the volunteer will assist with the coordination of multiple stakeholder groups i.e. clients and beneficiaries.

 

Duration: 3 weeks (Late February- early March)

Qualifications

ESSENTIAL AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY:

·         Initial assessment of the organization based on existing by-laws

·         Training on internal procedures; roles and responsibilities of personnel vs. members, financial responsibilities of elected officials and social impact on the organization

·         Educate members on varying methods to assess and update organization by-laws and operating procedures

 

SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATES WILL HAVE THE FOLLOWING QUALIFICATIONS:

·         Governance, management or internal procedures expert; cooperative development experience desired

·         Gender and youth strategies

·         Experience in adult based training/ capacity building specialist

·         Advanced Spanish is a plus (However a translator will be available if needed)
