Job Description

The Point of Sale Devices Sales Associate is responsible for conducting field sales activities to acquire new merchants, promoting electronic payment solutions through Point of Sale devices, and achieving monthly acquisition targets. The role also ensures customer satisfaction, accurate documentation, and compliance with the Bank’s service standards and applicable requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct daily field visits to targeted merchants to promote electronic payment solutions and secure agreements for Point of Sale devices.
  • Achieve the assigned monthly sales targets, including the acquisition of at least 15 new merchants per month.
  • Present the features and benefits of Point of Sale devices and related banking services in a professional manner based on merchants’ business needs.
  • Build and maintain effective relationships with merchants to support customer satisfaction and continued engagement with the Bank.
  • Prepare daily reports covering field visits, sales results, achievement rates, and operational challenges, and submit them to the direct manager.
  • Follow the Bank’s policies, procedures, customer-service standards, and professional conduct requirements during field activities.

Technical and Operational Responsibilities

  • Conduct daily field visits according to the geographical areas, merchant lists, and priorities determined by management.
  • Collect and process all required merchant documentation accurately and in accordance with the Bank’s requirements, including official identification documents, tax documents, and business licences.
  • Review documents during field visits to ensure their accuracy and completeness before submitting them to the relevant department.
  • Minimise rejected or returned applications by verifying that all required information and supporting documents are complete.
  • Follow up on submitted merchant applications with the responsible supervisor to support timely completion of the documentation and approval process.
  • Verify that prospective merchants meet the Bank’s technical and commercial requirements before contract signing and device installation.
  • Provide merchants with basic guidance regarding required documentation and application procedures.
  • Maintain the confidentiality and security of merchant information and documents.
  • Ensure that all activities comply with the Bank’s policies and the applicable instructions of the Central Bank of Iraq.
  • Report field challenges, application issues, or merchant concerns to the direct manager.
  • Perform any other related duties assigned by the direct manager.

 

     

    Qualifications

    Qualifications and Experience

    • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or a related field.

    Required Knowledge

    • Basic knowledge of electronic payment systems and Point of Sale solutions.
    • General understanding of merchant acquisition and field sales activities.
    • Basic knowledge of the Bank’s relevant procedures, requirements, and regulations.
