Job Description

Cards & Payments Systems Senior Associate

📍 Baghdad, Iraq

We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Cards & Payments Systems Senior Associate to join our IT team. This role focuses on supporting banking applications related to cards, payments, and transaction processing, ensuring smooth operation and timely issue resolution.

🔹 Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor and support the operation of cards and payments systems and related banking applications
  • Ensure system availability, stability, and performance 24/7
  • Investigate and resolve issues related to failed or pending transactions and transfers
  • Perform routine system checks, monitoring, and maintenance activities
  • Handle incidents and service requests from branches and departments within defined SLAs
  • Coordinate with development, infrastructure, cybersecurity teams, and external vendors
  • Participate in projects related to cards, payments, and AML systems
  • Ensure compliance with cybersecurity standards, policies, and regulatory requirements
  • Document issues and resolutions in ticketing systems (e.g., Jira)
  • Support UAT testing for system updates and new services

 

    Qualifications

    🔹 Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
    • 1–3 years of experience, including at least 1 year in a similar role
    • Familiarity working with various operating systems
    • Experience with banking systems, transactions, or payments environments is preferred
    • Familiarity with ISO 20022 and ISO 8583 standards is a plus
