Job Description

The Manager, Technology Continuity will report to the Director of Technology Continuity and work as part of the Business Continuity/Crisis Management/Environmental Health & Safety team. The Manager, Technology Continuity will work with internal technology resources to develop, maintain, and assist in developing technology continuity strategies and solutions, including but not limited to, assessments, recovery strategies, continuity plans and exercises. This role can be based in Los Angeles, New York City, Denver, or Miami. 

Responsibilities

  • Manage technology continuity projects and engagements.
  • Identify and liaise with key stakeholders to develop, review, revise, and exercise technology continuity plans consistent with NBCU Technology Continuity Standards and corporate Business Continuity and Crisis Management requirements.
  • Assist in the coordination and response efforts to disruptions and events across the enterprise as needed.
  • Perform assessments and provide analyses for businesses to identify points of vulnerability, points of failure, and identify risk avoidance and mitigation strategies.
  • Develop status reports capturing technology preparedness, capabilities, recoverability, and prepare management summary reports.
  • Regular use and maintenance of Business Continuity/Crisis Management IT systems including Fusion Risk Management, and NBCU CMDB.
  • Gather, analyze, and report program status, metrics, and KPIs to leadership.

Qualifications

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in Technology Continuity, Disaster Recovery, or related role.
  • Experience in continuity planning across various IT platforms: including but not limited to storage, cloud services, and websites.   
  • Prior experience with media distribution technologies preferred.
  • Proactive, well organized, and results-oriented, with the ability to lead and participate in multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in project management or similar work experience.
  • A bachelor’s degree or relevant work experience.
