Job Description

As a theme park built around a working movie studio, we are all about lights, camera, and action! Being part of our team means having fun at work, creating memorable moments for guests, and bringing the magic of Hollywood to life.

Our Universal Studios Hollywood (USH) Internship Program gives you more than a glimpse behind-the-scenes of a working theme park – here you can get the chance to make a real impact on our business. As a USH intern, you will have the opportunity to build meaningful connections with leaders, attend professional development workshops, and learn from industry experts – all while gaining real-world experience. Your internship begins with your key project assignment and concludes with a final presentation of your results to members of Senior Leadership. We love those who are curious, driven, and passionate about the future of the themed entertainment industry.

Summer 2026

Semester System Program Dates: June 1, 2026 – August 7, 2026

Quarter System Program Dates: June 15, 2026 – August 21, 2026

Internship applications will close on Friday, December 19th at 11:55 PM PT.

Friendly Tips:

  • Apply for the internship(s) that you are most passionate about.
  • Attach a resume that outlines your education (include anticipated graduation month and year), experience, and accomplishments.
  • Upload a transcript – unofficial transcripts are acceptable – that confirms your status as an actively enrolled student in a degree-granting program.

As an Entertainment Operations Intern, you become an essential part of the team behind our biggest entertainment events — IP-driven marquee events like Mega Movie Summer, Halloween Horror Nights, and Grinchmas. Your work will help bring stories, movies, and iconic characters to life in immersive, unforgettable ways. From early casting conversations to live rehearsals, you’ll see firsthand how world-class themed entertainment is created.

Throughout your internship, you will learn how large-scale entertainment events are produced from concept to execution. You’ll build practical skills in talent coordination, scheduling, production logistics, and creative collaboration. You’ll gain exposure to cross-functional teamwork by partnering with our production, technical, and creative teams who are passionate about innovation and storytelling. And along the way, you’ll learn how to navigate a dynamic environment — pivoting, problem-solving, and adapting as plans evolve in real time.

Your day may look a little like this:

  • Supporting auditions, casting conversations, organizing materials, and assisting with communication between casting and operations.
  • Assisting with coordinating rehearsals, creating a prospectus, and ensuring teams have what they need.
  • Participating in project meetings where schedules, milestones, and creative updates are reviewed.
  • Preparing for content shoots, including logistics, documentation, and on-site support.
  • Learning how to manage multiple moving parts with care, urgency and accuracy.
