The Position

The Vice President of Data Project Management is a cross-functional, highly-visible leadership role with the responsibility to lead the roadmap for all data programs across the Decision Sciences team, including a growing international footprint. You will be responsible for defining, managing, and mitigating risks for any dependency between data initiatives across Data Engineering, Product Analytics, Marketing Analytics, Content Analytics, Data Product Management, and Data Science. This is a highly collaborative position, responsible for resource management, PMO, and organizational change management.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Lead and manage a team of data project managers and analysts, providing guidance and support in project planning, execution, and delivery.
  • Collaborate closely and build relationships across cross-functional business and technical teams to set expectations and successfully guide project execution.
  • Develop and implement project management strategies to ensure the successful execution of data-related initiatives, meeting deadlines and budget requirements.
  • Oversee the implementation of project management methodologies and best practices to optimize project efficiency and ensure high-quality deliverables across the DTC & Media Group business, both domestically and internationally.
  • Monitor project progress, identify risks, and develop mitigation plans to address any issues that may impact project timelines or outcomes.
  • Identify synergies/efficiencies across verticals, projects, and products, leveraging a shared approach when applicable and reducing redundancy.
  • Act as a liaison between technical and non-technical stakeholders, ensuring clear communication and alignment throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Determine measures for success and the best way to capture, roll up, and communicate product, project, program, and portfolio statuses for executive reviews.
  • Support leadership in overall program and product management as well as other top priority initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in a project management, portfolio management, business operations, or analytics strategy role within a global technology or technology-adjacent organization
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in a leadership role overseeing project management in a complex organizational environment.
  • Minimum 7 years of experience with agile/project management tools like Jira, Smartsheet, ServiceNow, Microsoft Project  or similar tools
  • Experience managing a team of direct reports, and the ability to inspire and motivate a team towards successful project outcomes.

Desired Characteristics

  • Experience within a technology organization in the media or entertainment industry
  • Knowledge of or interest in IT, data & analytics
  • Experience working with and navigating a matrixed organization composed of technology horizontals and business-focused verticals
  • Experience focused in managing complex product roadmaps and development initiatives
  • Ability to thrive in ambiguity and manage multiple tracks of work
  • Ability to effectively communicate, collaborate, and partner with cross-functional teams to drive results
  • Ability to build a compelling story, with experience communicating concepts and ideas to technologists and users alike
  • Ability to set-up and manage a SharePoint site
  • Strategically agile and displays emotional intelligence
  • Adaptable, able to learn quickly, is metrics/data-driven, and a self-starter

Additional Requirements

Hybrid: This position has been designated as hybrid, generally contributing from the office a minimum of three days per week.

This position is eligible for company sponsored benefits, including medical, dental and vision insurance, 401(k), paid leave, tuition reimbursement, and a variety of other discounts and perks.
