Job Description

Role Summary

The Manager, Executive Compensation supports the design, administration, and ongoing management of the Company's executive compensation programs. This role leads complex compensation analyses, market benchmarking, executive compensation planning, proxy statement and disclosure support, and governance-related activities. The Manager is responsible for developing insights and recommendations that inform executive compensation decisions, monitoring market and regulatory developments, and supporting Compensation Committee and senior leadership materials. This position provides an opportunity to influence executive compensation strategy while ensuring programs remain competitive, aligned with business objectives, and reflective of evolving market practices and governance standards.

  • Lead executive compensation analyses, benchmarking studies, and competitive market assessments to evaluate pay levels, compensation structures, pay mix, and market competitiveness.
  • Manage executive compensation survey submissions and market data sources, ensuring the integrity and effective use of data to support recommendations and decision-making.
  • Support the design, administration, and ongoing evaluation of executive compensation programs to ensure alignment with business objectives, market practices, governance standards, and shareholder expectations.
  • Review and analyze proxy statements, SEC filings, executive compensation disclosures, and compensation arrangements to identify market trends, governance developments, and emerging practices.
  • Prepare executive compensation analyses, reports, presentations, and recommendations for senior leadership, the Compensation Committee, and Board-level discussions.
  • Lead and support executive compensation governance activities, including annual proxy statement preparation, executive compensation disclosures, and related documentation.
  • Develop compensation recommendations by evaluating market data, internal considerations, business needs, governance requirements, and potential risks.
  • Lead compensation projects and workstreams from inception through implementation, ensuring timely execution, accuracy, and effective stakeholder communication.
  • Translate complex compensation and market data into clear insights, business implications, and actionable recommendations for leadership.
  • Develop and maintain executive compensation models, reporting tools, analyses, and supporting documentation.
  • Prepare analyses and materials related to executive compensation programs, equity awards, compensation planning, and other compensation initiatives.
  • Identify process improvement opportunities, operational risks, and data quality issues, and implement solutions to enhance efficiency, controls, and overall program effectiveness.
  • Apply compensation philosophies, policies, and governance principles consistently while exercising sound judgment in complex, sensitive, and high-impact situations.
  • Partner effectively with Finance, Legal, HR, and external advisors to support executive compensation initiatives, governance requirements, and strategic projects.

Qualifications

Here You'll Need:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience.
  • 5+ years of progressive compensation experience.
  • Experience supporting executive compensation, equity compensation, deferred compensation, or related compensation programs within a publicly traded company.
  • Experience conducting compensation analyses and market benchmarking.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

What We'll Look For:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Human Resources, or a related field preferred.
  • Experience supporting SEC filings, proxy statement preparation, executive compensation disclosures, or related governance activities preferred.
  • Solid analytical, financial modeling, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience working with compensation survey data, market pricing tools, HRIS platforms, compensation systems, and reporting tools.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence decisions and build credibility with business partners and stakeholders.
  • Ability to communicate complex compensation concepts and recommendations effectively to senior leaders and business partners.
  • Proven project management and organizational skills, with the ability to lead cross-functional projects and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to lead through ambiguity, balance competing priorities, and drive stakeholder alignment toward decisions.
  • Exceptional judgment in complex or sensitive compensation matters, including the ability to handle highly confidential information with discretion.
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality and accuracy.
  • Must be willing to travel as needed

Hybrid: This position currently has a hybrid schedule, which requires contributing from the New York, NY office a minimum of four days per week. The Company reserves the right to change in-office requirements at any time.
