Job Description

The Manager, Media is primarily responsible for supporting the Vice President, Media and the Senior Director, Media in the planning and buying process of all paid media plans in support of NBC Entertainment, Peacock, and Bravo.


Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute media strategies and plans for all supported shows across paid in partnership with the Senior Director, Media.
  • Prepare strategic written deliverables, including media briefs, plan recommendations, campaign recaps, and marketing presentations for senior leadership, cross-functional stakeholders, and agency partners.
  • Leverage research, analytics, and audience insights to inform media recommendations, audience strategies, and investment decisions across paid and owned platforms.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams on marketing plans and execution, representing the media team and effectively communicating media strategies, plans, and campaign updates.
  • Oversee the end-to-end execution process, ensuring assets are developed, approved, delivered, and launched on time.
  • Manage, mentor, and develop a direct report through coaching, feedback, and professional development.
  • Assist in managing all financial reporting documents associated with the media budget.
  • Build and maintain relationships with media partners to identify emerging trends, innovative opportunities, and first-to-market solutions.
  • Support the larger media team with any ad-hoc projects/requests.

Qualifications

Basic Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in media planning and buying across all media channels
  • Strong foundation in marketing, advertising, and media planning principles
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills, with the ability to communicate ideas clearly and concisely 
  • Proven ability to independently manage timelines, deadlines, and follow-through across multiple campaigns and projects in a fast-paced environment
  • Demonstrated attention to detail and commitment to delivering accurate, high-quality work
  • Analytical, strategic thinking, and storytelling skills, with the ability to translate data and complex information into actionable insights, compelling recommendations, and clear written deliverables
  • Understanding of TV and digital viewing measurement
  • Understanding of the end-to-end digital advertising ecosystem, including agency, publisher, and consumer-facing technologies – such as ad servers, DSPs, SSPs, networks, exchanges, creative optimizers, and data providers
  • Previous people management experience, including coaching, mentoring, and developing junior team members

Desired Characteristics:

  • Bachelor's degree in liberal arts, marketing, communications/advertising, or media studies
  • Media agency experience preferred
  • Entertainment marketing or media experience preferred
  • Knowledge and understanding of the television industry, particularly the Broadcast and Streaming TV business and landscape
  • Proactive, collaborative, and solutions-oriented with a strong sense of ownership and accountability
  • Advanced proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and AI-powered productivity tools, such as Microsoft Copilot
  • Flexibility to adjust schedule based on workload

  • Hybrid: This position has been designated as hybrid, generally contributing from the office a minimum of four days per week.
