Job Description

Role Summary

We are seeking an innovative, experienced, and results-driven Human Resources Generalist to provide HR support to employees and leaders across NBCUniversal's Corporate Legal and Corporate Human Resources organizations. This role will have responsibility for directly supporting clients and supporting full range of employee lifecycle activities while helping drive talent, organizational, and culture initiatives across the Corporate Functions groups. This role will partner with HR counterparts across the enterprise, Centers of Excellence, and operational partners to implement corporate initiatives, deliver exceptional client service, and advance key HR priorities across Corporate Functions. This role will report directly into the Director, Human Resources, Corporate Legal with a dotted line to the Director, Human Resources, Corporate HR.

Responsibilities

HR Client Partnership

  • Provide day-to-day HR support to Corporate Legal and Corporate HR client groups, including guidance on employee relations, performance management, organizational changes, compensation administration, recruiting, onboarding, and offboarding
  • Partner with the Director, Human Resources to support Legal and HR leadership and their teams on employee relations issues, ensuring fair and consistent application of policies and practices
  • Provide coaching and guidance to employees and managers on career development, growth opportunities, and professional development
  • Identify and provide creative solutions to employee engagement challenges, compensation/title analysis, organizational structuring, and retention initiatives
  • Assist with employee relations investigations, documentation, and resolution of workplace concerns in partnership with HR leadership and Legal, as appropriate

Talent Management & Organizational Effectiveness

  • Facilitate and support annual talent processes, including performance management, succession planning, talent reviews, and compensation planning.
  • Assist in organizational design discussions, workforce planning initiatives, and talent movement strategies.
  • Partner with Talent Acquisition and hiring managers to support recruiting efforts, job description development, candidate selection, and onboarding.

HR Operations & Data Management

  • Process and manage employee lifecycle transactions and data changes through HR systems, including hires, promotions, transfers, leaves of absence, compensation changes, and terminations.
  • Serve as a resource on HR systems, processes, and workflows, including SAP, SmartRecruiters, Click Boarding, and related technologies.
  • Generate and analyze recurring and ad-hoc reports.
  • Ensure data accuracy and maintain compliance with recordkeeping requirements and company policies.

Projects, Training & Programs

  • Participate in and lead HR projects and strategic initiatives supporting Corporate Functions.
  • Collaborate with HR colleagues to develop and implement training, learning, and employee development programs.
  • Support change management efforts associated with organizational and business initiatives.
  • Assist with implementation of HR programs, policies, and process improvements designed to enhance efficiency and employee experience.

Client Service & Cross-Functional Partnership

  • Serve as a primary liaison with internal partners including Talent Acquisition, Compensation, Benefits, Payroll, Finance, HR Operations, and Legal.
  • Respond to employee and manager inquiries while providing high-quality customer service and timely resolution of issues.
  • Build strong relationships across client groups and establish credibility as a trusted HR resource.

Qualifications

Basic Requirements:

  • 3+ years of progressive Human Resources experience
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
  • Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Solid analytical skills with the ability to interpret HR data and provide actionable insights
  • Experience supporting employee relations, performance management, talent processes, and HR operations

  • Project management experience and the ability to independently drive initiatives to completion.

Hybrid: This position currently has a hybrid schedule, which requires contributing from the New York, NY office a minimum of four days per week. The Company reserves the right to change in-office requirements at any time.
