Job Description

At NBCUniversal, we believe every interaction is an opportunity to tell our story and that starts with our candidates.  The Manager, Interview Operations & Experience plays a critical role in ensuring that every candidate and hiring team interaction is efficient, thoughtful, and reflective of our commitment to excellence.

This leader oversees the operational delivery of interview scheduling and  candidate communications, as well as coordination logistics enterprise wide. The Manager will lead a team of Candidate Experience Specialists responsible for managing the end-to-end interview process, ensuring candidates and internal partners experience a seamless, inclusive, and timely process.

This is an opportunity for a strong people leader with deep expertise in interview operations to drive process excellence, support technology adoption, and elevate the standards of service delivery across the Talent Acquisition function.

Key Responsibilities

Team Leadership & Operations

  • Lead and mentor a team of Candidate Experience Specialists, ensuring balanced workloads, consistent processes, and timely resolution of issues.
  • Serve as the primary escalation point for scheduling or communication challenges, proactively resolving issues and removing roadblocks.

Scheduling Excellence & Process Optimization

  • Oversee and continuously improve interview scheduling workflows through automation, cross-functional collaboration, and operational metric tracking.
  • Design and standardize interview experience guidelines across business units to ensure consistency and standard of care.
  • Develop playbooks and SOPs to handle complex interview scenarios (e.g., executive interviews, international candidates).

Stakeholder Partnership

  • Build strong partnerships across recruiting, facilities and travel teams to ensure a seamless interview experience across all NBCU locations.
  • Create communication protocols for urgent changes impacting interview experiences.

Insights & Reporting

  • Monitor team performance and interview data to identify trends, drive improvements, and support strategic CX initiatives.

Administration

  • Manage the Accessibility Accommodations inbox to execute on candidate requests, ensuring timely and inclusive support.
  • Oversee processes for candidate travel expenses and reimbursements, partnering with internal teams to ensure accuracy and compliance.

Qualifications

Basic Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in Talent Acquisition, TA Operations, or related field, with a focus on interview coordination
  • 2+ years of people leadership experience managing a coordination or operations team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong operational acumen, with a track record of improving processes, driving efficiency, and maintaining quality standards.
  • Skilled communicator who builds trust across functions and effectively manages expectations.
  • Experience with ATS and scheduling technologies (e.g., SmartRecruiters or similar platforms).
  • Data-driven mindset with the ability to interpret metrics and influence decisions.

Additional Requirements:

  • Hybrid: This position currently has a hybrid schedule, which requires contributing from the office a minimum of four days per week. The Company reserves the right to change in-office requirements at any time.
