Job Description
The Media Operations team is responsible for Studio Fulfillment—delivers best-in-class client services and order management across NBCUniversal’s expansive portfolio, including Global Distribution, Universal Pictures Group, NBC News, NBC Sports, NBCU Global Networks, and top-tier brands such as Bravo, Sky, Saturday Night Live, and The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, as well as local TV stations.
As a Programming Coordinator, you will serve as a key liaison across multiple departments, ensuring seamless delivery of content to distribution outlets. You’ll collaborate closely with internal and external digital media partners, 24/7 support teams, Advanced Media Products, and Engineering to ensure the accurate, reliable, and timely distribution of content across secondary platforms and third-party clients. Key responsibilities include:
- Support brand/client engagement for day-to-day publication of NBCU content to secondary distribution platforms/clients, acting as a point of escalation for programming changes, content issues, content revisions, and special requests.
- Help maintain operational rigor across the entire digital supply chain from inbound content delivery to NBCU facilities to outbound deliveries to multiplatform partners.
- Work across multiple media asset management systems to process and deliver features, trailers, and episodic content.
- Research content availability, assist with backfill, and track ingest status, providing updates to stakeholders.
- Maintain media acquisition protocols, partnering with show post teams, TV Distribution, and other content providers on milestones, deliverables, and accountability.
- Participate in both daily and weekly internal team meetings.
- Provide regular order updates and escalate issues to team Specialist.
- Regularly communicate with internal support teams to ensure content is delivered on time.
- Troubleshoot workflow issues and collaborate with necessary teams to resolve them.
- Coordinator should be able to multi-task and pivot across projects or priority feature titles if priorities change and provide back up support for the team in other areas as needed.
- Coordinator will need to have a flexible schedule to help prioritize work of late deliveries scheduled for client air.
- Occasionally, coverage for a different shift or date may be required for specific events and holidays, with advanced notice provided when possible.
- Additional duties as needed and assigned by Supervisor(s). Work the coordinator is supporting is subjected to change based on business needs.
Qualifications
Requirements/ Qualifications:
- A High School Diploma and relevant certification or Associate's Degree in Media or Communications, or equivalent professional experience in broadcast, digital, or post production role.
- A solid understanding of television production, broadcast operations, and/or news/sports/entertainment technical production requirements.
- Willing and able to work flexible hours as needed, including weekends, nights, holidays (with notice) to meet the 24/7 operational needs.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 1+ years experience in client facing customer service role.
- 1+ years of work experience showing strong computer, excellent communication skills (verbal & written), and facilitation skills.
- 1+ years of work experience in a fast-paced environment requiring troubleshooting, process skills, and exhibiting an ability to adapt to changing scenarios.
- Ability to work under pressure with great attention to detail.
- Experience in a media asset management system.
- Bachelors or 2 year degree in Communications or Media.
Hybrid: This position currently has a hybrid schedule, which requires contributing from the office a minimum of four days per week. The Company reserves the right to change in-office requirements at any time.
