Job Description

NBCUniversal has an opening for a Manager of Audience Operations and Events as part of Rockefeller Center Guest Experiences team within the Operations and Technology division of NBCU. This is an opportunity to join a small and dynamic team that delivers one-of-a-kind product and experiences to guests at NBC’s home in 30 Rockefeller Plaza. The position reports to the Director of Tours and Audience Operations and requires a full-time on-site schedule with some overtime hours as needed. 

The Manager, Audience Operations and Events will ensure optimal experiences for our general public and clients, coming to 30 Rock.  

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:  

  • Oversee audience operations for 30 Rockefeller Plaza 

  • Manage Saturday Night Live ticketing for lottery winners, VIPs, NBC clients and standby guests  

  • Work closely with audience coordinators for Late Night with Seth Meyers and The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. Provide direction to ensure seamless and consistent audience processes across all shows, including standby guests 

  • Responsible for training 30 Rock Pages on the audience process and evacuation drills for 30 Rock 

  • Manage audiences for special tapings and internal events 

  • Work across all shows on specific ADA accommodation 

  • Collaborate with all Guest Experience functions as needed 

  • Act as Leader on Duty for NBC Studio Tour when required  

  • Oversee Guest Experience Pages responsible for working with audiences and tours 

  • Oversee private film screenings for talent and executives 

  • Book and oversee all events in the Peacock Lounge 

  • Strategically plan out audience timelines  

  • Present on and execute on operational enhancements as they pertain to the Guest Experience team 

 

Qualifications

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:  

  • High school diploma/GED required. 

  • Must be proficient in Excel and Microsoft Office 

  • Must be extremely organized and driven by efficiency 

  • Must have exceptional time management skills 

  • Must be willing to work varying hours as needed including nights, weekends, overnights, and holidays

  • Must have unrestricted work authorization to work in the United States 

  • Must be 18 years or older 

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:  

  • Minimum 3 years working experience in audience operations, production or a guest service role

  • Proven ability to be flexible and consistent in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment 

  • Demonstrated ability to effectively manage and train a team 

  • Ability to actively problem-solve and critically think 

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills 

  • Demonstrated attention to detail and able to perform tasks with minimal supervision and direction 

DESIRED CHARACTERISTICS:  

  • Bachelor’s degree 

  • Experience with ticketing platform
