Job Description
We are looking for a reliable maintenance manager to oversee critical infrastructure response. The ideal candidate will understand mechanical and technical work with sound leadership and managerial skills. You will oversee a team of technicians, track work orders and corrective repair performance, and focus on client communication service. The role of the manager is to ensure that jobs are completed efficiently and within regulatory guidelines and projected deadlines; manage annual budget targets and be the centralized point for client communication.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee a team of technicians in one or more of the following trades: HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing/ Water Treatment, Kitchen Equipment/ HVACR.
- Prioritize and schedule maintenance on parkwide infrastructure and manage the installation, repair, and maintenance of critical facility and utility systems.
- Work closely with internal clients to identify and correct operational issues in a timely manner.
- Develop site solutions in support of various key infrastructure and business needs, inform multi-year capital planning.
- Coach and develop Technicians with continuous improvement methodologies to trouble-shoot processes and equipment achieving target goals for work order completion and efficiency.
- Coordinate with our Studio lot team on shared infrastructure.
- Interface with other Universal Destinations and Experiences sites to identify and exchange best practices, processes and materials.
- Ensure that all safety procedures are understood and followed, and that all safety training is current.
- Manage small scale projects resulting from a corrective work order or capital request. Develop project scope and schedule, work with architects to obtain necessary drawings as needed, pull required permits, and manage labor and materials costs.

- Continue efforts to improve upon our design guiding principles as technology and materials advance.
- Manages the Logs pertaining to our generators and critical data centers AQMD reporting.
- Manage department monthly budgets including timing of cash flow purchase approvals, follow-through on invoices and payments as needed, and ensure appropriate labor management per department policy.

Qualifications
- 7+ years’ technical experience in mechanical or electrical engineering or equivalent in field experience
- 7+ years of managerial experience leading technical teams.
- Excellent organizational, verbal and written communication skills
- Strong time management skills, ability to multi-task and be flexible.
- Knowledge of building infrastructure maintenance, operation and automation tools including electrical, mechanical, and plumbing.
- Experience managing in a union environment preferred
- Vendor management experience
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, CAD drawings, Blue Beam proficient
- Experience working with CMMS systems is preferred. (Maximo, etc.)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and Project
