Job Description

Responsibilities

The FP&A Manager participates in the day-to-day operations of the Sports FP&A team and will assist in a wide range of accounting, finance and consolidation matters for the Sports Group. It is a key position on the NBC Sports FP&A team and interfaces with multiple operators and teams internally within the Sports Group as well as within various NBCU finance teams.

Reporting to the Director, FP&A, this role is responsible for the planning, consolidation, and reporting of financial results across the Sports portfolio, including Sunday Night Football, NBA, MLB, Olympics, and more.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Support the planning and coordination of key financial processes (close, forecast/estimates, and budget) across Sports finance teams and operational partners
  • Manage the consolidation of financial results across the Sports portfolio, delivering clear variance analysis versus budget, forecast, and prior periods, and highlighting key business drivers
  • Partner with the Director of FP&A to support Media Group and Corporate FP&A data requests
  • Own headcount planning and tracking for Sports, collaborating with business leaders through monthly reviews to ensure alignment with budget targets
  • Provide FP&A support for Sports HQ departments, working closely with operators and cross-functional teams to develop, manage, and adhere to budgets and forecasts
  • Play a key role in the quarterly close process, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery of financial results
  • Prepare and deliver quarterly and ad hoc financial analyses to Sports Group and Corporate leadership
  • Serve as system administrator for the Sports budgeting tool (BPC)
  • Partner with the Controllership team on key financial processes, reporting requirements, and strategic initiatives

Qualifications

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting
  • 3+ years of experience in Finance and Accounting; FP&A experience preferred
  • Highly skilled in PowerPoint and Excel

Desired Characteristics

  • SAP BW/BPC experience preferred
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the proven ability to work and communicate effectively
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize work assignments and work well under pressure
  • Must be accurate, highly organized with great attention to detail
