Job Description
We are seeking a Finance Systems Project Manager to join our London team on a fixed-term contract, supporting the Director, Controllership within the Universal Pictures Content Group. This role is heavily Controllership-focused and will play a critical part in ensuring that accounting, reporting, and control requirements are fully represented during the global SAP S/4 implementation.
The position will run until March 2027 (exact duration dependent on start date), with potential for extension subject to project needs.
Key Responsibilities
Controllership Leadership on SAP S/4 System Integration
- Act as the local Controllership project lead for NBCUniversal’s global SAP S/4 upgrade (go-live: January 2027).
- Ensure core accounting requirements, financial controls, reporting structures, and governance standards are embedded in system design.
UAT & SIT Testing Oversight
- Lead finance-driven User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and System Integration Testing (SIT), validating end-to-end accounting workflows across OTC, P2P, and RTR.
- Identify gaps, challenge assumptions, and provide structured feedback to ensure outputs align with Controllership and compliance needs.
Reporting, Close & Compliance Framework Rebuild
- Support the redesign of reporting, reconciliations, month-end close processes and financial control frameworks required for S/4.
- Ensure new reporting aligns with group policy, statutory requirements, and management reporting needs.
Change Management & Stakeholder Engagement
- Serve as a change champion for the Content Group, clearly articulating accounting, policy, and process implications to senior stakeholders.
- Influence decision-making by representing Controllership priorities in project governance forums.
Process Governance Across Finance Pillars
- Provide subject-matter expertise across OTC, P2P, and RTR, ensuring the new SAP environment supports accurate revenue recognition, cost accounting, financial controls, and auditability.
Business Partnering – Japan
- Partner closely with the Japan Finance and Controllership teams to ensure readiness for S/4.
- Provide structured guidance around process changes, control implications, and expected business impacts.
Systems Alignment & Support
- Support the O&T team to ensure the successful delivery of Japan’s system-evolution initiatives, embedding strong control frameworks throughout.
Executive and Team Communication
- Keep the VP, Finance; Director – Controllership; CFO; and wider team informed of key project decisions, milestones, risks, and accounting implications.
- Ensure clear, consistent communication across all stakeholders.
Additional Duties

Qualifications
Basic Requirements
- Qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA or equivalent) with strong post-qualification experience in Controllership, audit, or technical accounting.
- Prior SAP experience is essential (S/4 preferred; ECC acceptable), ideally gained through finance transformation or systems implementation.
- Experience with systems projects, finance process design, and control frameworks.
- A collaborative, team-first mindset with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Comfort working in a fast-paced, matrixed environment with multiple global stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and make informed decisions under pressure.
- Strong problem-solving skills with a continuous-improvement mindset.
- Ability to understand broader business strategy and translate it into Controllership priorities.
Preferred Requirements
- Prior Controllership experience in a multinational environment.
- Media industry or international organisation experience.
