Job Description

Associate Producer Supports the editorial production process through research, segment development, guest coordination, preparation of statistics, management of graphics, and real-time support during live broadcasts. Must have strong knowledge of soccer (leagues, national teams, historical context) and the ability to work in high-pressure, fast-paced environments

This is a project/limited term position, unless otherwise amended or terminated as deliverables within this project are completed.

Qualifications

Expanded Responsibilities: 

  • Editorial & Content Development
  • Conduct in-depth research to support stories, features, and segment topics.
  • Assist in creating, structuring, and writing on-air segments.
  • Compile historical context, game summaries, and background information for editorial use.
  • Collaborate with producers to develop creative storytelling approaches.
  • Guest & Talent Coordination
  • Identify, research, and coordinate potential guests, experts, and analysts.
  • Manage communication and logistics for guest appearances, including scheduling and briefing.
  • Prepare talking points, background packets, and discussion guides for talent.
  • Data, Statistics & Graphics
  • Gather, verify, and organize match statistics, player data, and league information.
  • Work closely with the graphics team to build, review, and update on-screen visual elements.
  • Ensure accuracy and timely delivery of all statistical and graphical content.
  • Live Production Support
  • Provide real-time assistance during broadcasts, ensuring smooth execution of segments.
  • Monitor rundown changes, timing, and cueing to support control room needs.
  • Troubleshoot and respond quickly to production issues as they arise.
  • Cross-Team Collaboration
  • Coordinate with editorial, technical, and production teams to maintain workflow efficiency.
  • Participate in production meetings and contribute ideas for improving content quality.
  • Support post-production tasks, including clip selection and highlight organization.
  • Required Skills & Competencies
  • Strong knowledge of soccer (domestic and international leagues, tournaments, historical events).
  • Excellent multitasking skills and ability to thrive under pressure.
  • Strong research, writing, and organizational abilities.
  • Ability to adapt quickly to fast-paced and evolving production environments.
  • Detail-oriented with strong editorial judgment.
