Job Description

NBCUniversal is seeking a dynamic and analytical Senior Manager, Business Intelligence to support high-impact strategic initiatives that drive long-term growth and unlock audience growth. This role will leverage business understanding and data application to translate clear, actionable intelligence that drives faster, smarter decision-making for the Streaming organization.

The Senior Manager, Business Intelligence is responsible for:

 

  • Conduct market, competitive, and industry trend research to identify strategic opportunities and risks.
  • Develop scalable, high-impact reports that measure content performance, enabling teams to act on insights quickly.
  • Support development of strategic plans that align with organizational priorities and growth objectives.
  • Prepare detailed market assessments, competitor benchmarks, and opportunity landscapes.
  • Conduct multi-year trend analyses to understand long-term content performance by channel, platform, genre, and audience segment.
  • Translate complex data into clear narratives and recommendations tailored to cross-functional and executive audiences.
  • Identify key performance drivers, opportunities, and risks across channels, platforms, and formats.
  • Evaluate shifts in consumption behavior, engagement patterns, and media efficiency over time.
  • Inform content strategy, media investment, and audience growth initiatives through forward-looking insights.
  • Automate recurring reporting by leveraging API integrations and data pipelines to reduce manual effort and accelerate decisioning.
  • Prepare clear, concise, executive-ready presentations summarizing research, findings, and strategic recommendations.
  • Present insights and priorities to senior leadership, supporting data-driven decision-making.
  • Coordinate across internal stakeholders to drive alignment and support strategic implementation efforts.

Qualifications

Basic Requirements:

Required

  • 6-8+ years of experience in analytics, business, finance, economics or statistics, preferably within media, entertainment, or digital marketing.
  • Strong analytical and financial modeling skills with proficiency in Excel and strategic evaluation techniques.
  • Excellent research, synthesis, and written/oral communication skills
  • Proven experience building automated reports and dashboards using BI tools and API-driven data sources.
  • Ability to synthesize large, complex datasets into clear insights and executive-ready storytelling.

Preferred

  • Familiarity with news ecosystem trends, platform economics, and audience monetization models.
  • Prior exposure to M&A evaluation, licensing deals, or corporate development activities.
  • Experience working with streaming, social, digital video, or cross-platform media measurement.
  • Familiarity with cloud data environments (e.g., Snowflake, BigQuery) and marketing/media APIs.
  • Advanced proficiency in SQL and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Looker, Power BI, or similar).
  • Prior people management or strong mentorship experience.
  • Passion for media, storytelling, and audience behavior.
