Job Description
Responsible for the editorial development and daily production of content related to World Cup coverage. Coordinates scripts, rundowns, on-air talent both in-studio and on location, and ensures consistent narrative flow throughout the tournament. Requires experience in live sports production and extensive knowledge of international soccer, players, competition formats, and sports storytelling.
This is a project/limited term position, unless otherwise amended or terminated as deliverables within this project are completed.

- Editorial Development
- Lead the creation of daily storylines, segment ideas, and editorial angles aligned with World Cup coverage.
- Ensure all content reflects strong narrative structure and consistent storytelling across platforms.
- Review and refine scripts, ensuring clarity, factual accuracy, and strong editorial impact
- Production Management
- Oversee daily production of shows, segments, features, and digital extensions.
- Build and manage rundowns, coordinating timing, transitions, and segment flow.
- Collaborate with control room teams to ensure seamless execution of live elements.
- Talent & Crew Coordination
- Work directly with on-air talent, analysts, reporters, and correspondents, providing briefing materials and segment direction.
- Coordinate studio and on-location talent to ensure alignment on storylines and coverage priorities.
- Support the needs of field crews, reporters, and editors covering matches or special assignments.
- Creative Storytelling
- Develop thematic arcs and engaging narratives that enhance audience understanding of teams, players, and tournament dynamics.
- Identify key emotional, historical, and strategic elements to elevate storytelling.
- Propose innovative approaches to highlight packages, features, and analysis.
- Research & Preparation
- Conduct detailed research on teams, players, matchups, tournament structures, and historic context.
- Prepare editorial briefs, fact sheets, and background packets for talent and production teams.
- Ensure all content meets editorial standards and is fully vetted.
- Cross-Department Collaboration
- Work closely with directors, editors, graphics teams, and technical staff to deliver cohesive content.
- Communicate key updates across departments to maintain alignment during fast-paced tournament coverage.
- Participate in daily production and editorial meetings, contributing ideas and insights.
Required Skills & Competencies
- Proven experience in live sports production, preferably in major tournaments or international soccer coverage.
- Strong understanding of global football, player profiles, tactical analysis, and competition formats.
- Excellent writing, editorial judgment, and storytelling skills.
- Ability to multitask, meet tight deadlines, and make quick decisions in high-pressure environments.
- Strong collaboration, communication, and leadership skills
