Job Description

We are seeking a General Accountant to join the Finance team under a 12‑month temporary contract. This role is key to providing operational support during a period in which the core Finance team will need to allocate a significant amount of time to the various phases of the SAP S/4HANA implementation project, scheduled to go live on January 1, 2027.

Throughout 2026, the team will participate in activities such as reviews and co‑design of Mexico‑specific processes, operational validations, end‑to‑end testing by area and module, key‑user training, and full‑user training. Therefore, an additional position is required to ensure the operational continuity of the accounting area.
 

Main Responsibilities

  • Execute daily general accounting activities, including journal entries, reconciliations, and monthly closing tasks.
  • Prepare monthly financial statements and management reports for leadership.
  • Support local and statutory audits by preparing workpapers and required documentation.
  • Prepare workpapers for tax compliance, including provisional payments, informative returns, annual returns, and support with ISSIF filing.
  • Review vendor invoices, ensuring compliance with CFDI requirements.
  • Validate expense reports and corporate credit card transactions in accordance with internal policies.
  • Prepare account reconciliations and follow up on open items.
  • Provide support to areas such as Marketing and Operations in their operational processes and cost control.
  • Collaborate on SAP project activities and deliverables as needed.
  • Communicate clearly, promptly, and effectively in both oral and written form.
  • This is a temporary position for 12 months.

Qualifications

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Public Accounting (professional license and certificate required).
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in general accounting; experience in entertainment, media, or related industries is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of Mexican tax regulations and statutory requirements.
  • Experience supporting local and statutory audits, including preparation of audit workpapers.
  • Tax knowledge for preparing monthly and annual compliance workpapers, including ISSIF.
  • Advanced Excel proficiency.
  • Experience with accounting systems; SAP is a strong plus.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
  • Intermediate English (oral and written).
  • Availability to work under a 12‑month temporary contract.
