Job Description

Sales Insights is the team responsible for leading the development of sales-driven and analytical solutions for NBCU’s linear TV, digital & streaming products across our Latin American markets.  The person will be based in Bogotá, working with a team of individuals each servicing some respective clients within many LATAM markets. The Sales Insights team members are consultants to the ad sales, affiliate sales, marketing, and creative departments and are the go-to people for all audience and market intelligence information for commercial purposes.

Responsibilities

  • As a priority the Sales Insights Coordinator will help the Ad Sales, Affiliate Sales, Marketing, and Creative departments to bring pertinent arguments to conclude a sale.
  • Help the Sales Insights team, a group of individuals located across different markets helping drive revenue for NBCU’s linear and digital properties through the usage of data.
  • Be the expert in all data be it Linear TV, Digital or Streaming, for some LATAM markets.
  • Partner as an in-house consultant to key stakeholders such as Ad Sales and Affiliate Sales by providing them insights support to help drive higher revenue, including but not limited to: sizing markets for marketing initiatives or defining ways to measure client campaigns.
  • Contributes data driven insights for developing successful sales strategies.
  • Analyzes, synthesizes, and generates qualitative and quantitative information relevant to advertisers for making marketing and media spending decisions.
  • Be an expert in both the latest audience trends and the key trends impacting our main clients’ industries.
  • Help determine what are the best methodologies to apply for helping better measure client results.
  • Educates the sales, marketing, and creative departments on the latest market trends.
  • Maintains the Insights, Sales, Marketing, and Creative departments up to date with industry changes, case studies and regulatory impacts through internal and external networks.
  • Help in the development of status presentations for the Board and management team.
  • Collaborate with the sales team presenting to clients on the most relevant pitches and client events.

Qualifications

  • Fluent in English & Spanish
  • 2+ years of relevant media research experience required including TV, Streaming, Cross platform, agency or consumer research
  • 1+ years of experience supporting a TV network group, Streaming or OTT platform
  • Experience working with external clients
  • Strong quantitative and qualitative skills, including both analytical abilities as well as math proficiency
  • Strong presentation, communication, and writing skills, both in Spanish & English (Portuguese is a plus)
  • Deep knowledge of the competitive media landscape in LATAM
  • Proficient with TV, digital & Streaming metrics tools, such as Kantar IBOPE, TGI, ComScore, Adobe Analytics, Social Bakers/Emplifi, Brandwatch, Digital I.
  • Advanced knowledge in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
  • Intermediate knowledge in Data Visualizations tools (such as Tableau, Power BI, and/or Domo)
  • Ability to identify, distill, and articulate clear and actionable brand stories, insights and recommendations from a variety of data sources
  • A proven multitasker - ability to manage numerous projects independently in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Bachelor’s degree in advertising, communication, economics, management information systems, marketing, mathematics, media, psychology, or statistics, preferred
  • Knowledge and understanding of the television industry relevant to broadcast, cable, streaming and new media, including research terminology and methodology
  • Self-starter and proactive thinker with an innate curiosity, bias for action and desire to push beyond the status quo
