Job Description

The Associate Post Software Engineer will be responsible with assisting the Dev QC process, CI\CD management, and provide overall support to the Post Production automation platform.

Responsibilities:

 

  • Assist with the QC process for the Automation team and provide technical details to the dev team for debugging.
  • Assist in managing the CI/CD pipeline, optimizing code integration, and delivery.
  • Develop automation solutions that enable our teams to build, test, and deploy code/apps efficiently and consistently.
  • Assist with building analytical reports and dashboards.
  • Provide L3 support for the custom built NBCUniversal Post Production Automation platform.

Qualifications

Basic Requirements:

  • 2+ years of overall experience in DevOps Engineering
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field
  • Experience in development quality control processes, including documenting and executing unit, functional, and E2E testing
  • Familiarity with leveraging AI tools to proactively enhance/optimize work processes
  • Proficiency in scripting and automation using languages such as JavaScript
  • Background with some form of source control management (SCM), preferably git
  • Familiarity with the software build process
  • Experience working in agile/scrum environment
  • Ability and willingness to work off hours as needed, particularly in supporting deployments, updates, outages, and supporting operationally impactful issues

Desired Characteristics:

  • Excellent troubleshooting skills
  • Experience with post-production tools, such as Avid and Adobe
  • Experience with asset management systems (Production Asset Management and Media Asset Management)
  • Knowledge of cloud automation tools, using both Microsoft Azure and AWS
  • Experience in Windows, Node, React, Python, and Ansible
  • Experience Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, Puppet, and Ansible
  • Experience in Data Modeling, Data Architecture, Data Quality, Metadata, ETL, and Data Warehouse methodologies and technologies
  • Ability to work remotely effectively with others across geographical locations
  • Strong interpersonal skills and adept at building relationships with all technical and operational areas across NBCU
