Job Description

NBCUniversal is seeking a dynamic and strategic Vice President, Streaming Platforms to lead the regional streaming operations for Universal+, our premium subscription video service. This executive will oversee the end-to-end streaming platform experience across Latin America, managing a dedicated product and technology team and aligning regional execution with global centers of excellence. The role is pivotal in driving growth, innovation, and operational excellence in one of the most dynamic and diverse media markets in the world. Must be a seasoned product leader with a proven track-record of end-to-end ownership and balancing operational excellence with business priorities

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Leadership

  • Defining the overall product vision, strategy, and roadmap for the video streaming platform based on business requirements.
  • Serve as the regional platform owner for Universal+, supporting platform performance, user growth, and customer satisfaction.
  • Responsible for ensuring continuity between streaming platform development and Latin America business goals alongside Latin America senior team.
  • Act as the primary liaison between LATAM business units and global centers of excellence.

Team & Operational Management

  • Lead and develop a high-performing regional team across Product Management, Technology, Customer Service, and Partner Integrations.
  • Foster a culture of innovation, accountability, and collaboration across disciplines and geographies.
  • Oversee day-to-day operations, ensuring seamless platform performance and customer experience.

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Collaborate closely with local business leaders, marketing, content, infights and distribution teams to ensure platform initiatives support broader business objectives.
  • Build and maintain excellent working relationships with Global stakeholder groups (Media Operations, Hayu, Peacock, Privacy, Compliance, Cyber etc).
  • Represent LATAM needs and priorities in global forums, advocating for regional customization and innovation where appropriate.
  • Manage RFPs for key platform modules and steward strong relationships with third-party providers.
  • Manage relationships with external business partners, device manufacturers, and distribution platforms as it relates to platform integration, launch and development

Product & Technology Oversight

  • Drive regional product roadmap in coordination with global and local teams.
  • Ensure timely and high-quality delivery of platform features and enhancements.
  • Design and monitor platform KPIs to inform continuous improvement.
  • Ensure maximization of benefits, requirements, and compliance with app platform distribution deals (e.g. Apple, Roku, Android).
  • Support Distribution teams in sales process and developing scalable solutions for Universal+ app integration with operators.

Customer Experience

  • Oversee customer service operations, ensuring high satisfaction and efficient resolution of issues.
  • Implement regional best practices for user onboarding, retention, and support.

Work under the direct supervision of the MD, LATAM Networks & DTC and is responsible for completing any other tasks as assigned by supervisor.

 

Qualifications

Basic Requirements:

  • Master’s degree or equivalent experience
  • Proven track record in a senior operational role and technical product management (5 – 10 yrs senior leadership)
  • Experience with the development of streaming applications is a plus
  • Fluency in English and Spanish, Portuguese is a plus (both written and verbal)
  • Proven record of effective change management, with experience managing major technology initiatives
  • In-depth knowledge of commercial systems, technology, facilities design, and workflows
  • Excellent Project management, communication and organizational skills
  • Excellent track record in managing customers’ needs
  • Comfortable with a fast-paced, always-on, start-up environment

  • Strong leadership skills and effective team player; sees opportunities to develop team and collaborate across the group.
  • Proactive, with the confidence to assess a situation and take action; possess the resilience to sustain performance under pressure.
  • Ability to demonstrate strong negotiation skills and a track record of sound business decisions and good judgment calls.
  • Relevant experience of financial planning, budget management and cost out activities.
  • Adept at building and maintaining a strong network of contacts throughout the industry.
  • Track record of delivering major change initiatives that have added clear value to internal/external customers.
